BHOPAL: At least seven people, including five children, drowned after a boat capsized during a storm in Seep River in MP’s Sheopur Saturday.
All seven bodies were found during a rescue operation that stretched into the night, collector Lokesh Jangid told TOI. They were in a group of 11 pilgrims who went to a temple in Saroda village on the banks of Seep.
After visiting the religious place, the group decided to meet some relatives living on the other bank of the river and got into a rowboat.A brief summer storm struck when they were mid-river and the boat capsized due to strong winds.
