BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh high court has ordered community service in hospital as a condition of temporary bail for a college student accused of stalking a girl and harassing her with vulgar calls on WhatsApp, reported.
The accused was arrested on April 4. His counsel, while pleading for bail, said that chargesheet has already been filed and prolonged confinement would hamper his education as he is a first-year BBA student.
The state counsel had objected to the bail plea, saying the accused had relentlessly harassed the girl.
The accused undertook not to harass the complainant and agreed to abide by all terms and conditions of bail imposed by HC. His parents also appeared in court and promised to ensure the same. HC allowed temporary bail to the accused till July 17, 2024, on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. The next hearing is on July 22.
