NEW DELHI: With the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place next year, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar on Wednesday pitched for Arvind Kejriwal as Prime Ministerial candidate from ‘INDIA’ block.
“If you ask me, I would want Arvind Kejriwal to be the Prime Ministerial candidate,” Kakkar told ANI.
Kakkar said that despite the prevailing inflation, Delhi has the lowest inflation rate.
“There is free water, free education, free electricity, free bus rides for women, free pilgrimage for the elderly — still a surplus budget is presented. He raises people’s issues and rises as a challenger,” said Kakkar.
Two meetings of the 26-party INDIA block have taken place. During the second meeting in Karnataka, the block was officially named ‘INDIA.’ The third alliance meeting is scheduled to occur in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1. AAP has confirmed its participation in this upcoming meeting.
