BARABANKI(UP): A 27-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband at a brick kiln on Monday, with suspicions of having an extramarital affair, in Uttar Pradesh‘s Barabanki district.
The Superintendent of Police, accompanied by a team, promptly arrived at the scene and arrested the accused.
Motilal, residing in the Mahmudabad police station area of Sitapur district, and his wife Rajni were employed at a brick kiln in Baddupurwa village, situated under the jurisdiction of Ghunghter police station.They lived in a hut on the premises.
Motilal, fueled by suspicions of his wife’s involvement in an illicit relationship, engaged in a heated argument with her on Monday morning. In a fit of anger, he attacked Rajni multiple times with a shovel found inside their hut, resulting in her immediate demise, as per police reports.
An FIR has been lodged in the case, and an investigation has been initiated. The husband was subsequently arrested from a location near the scene of the incident, as confirmed by the Superintendent of Police, Dinesh Kumar Singh.
