BHOPAL: A 30-year-old man hacked his 35-year-old brother to death for allegedly switching off the DJ system and stopping him from dancing at a village function in Satna district late Friday. The murder took place in Mauhar village, around 30km from the district headquarters and 450km from Bhopal.
Accused Rajkumar Kol hacked his elder brother Rakesh to death with an axe and fled into the jungle, police said. Rakesh was taken to hospital but the deep cuts to his neck proved fatal. His wife Pooja Kol filed a police complaint on Saturday morning.
A team was sent to track down the suspect. Rajkumar was spotted near Badhha Ashram in the jungle and was arrested. He admitted to the murder and led cops to where he had hidden the axe used in the crime. A local court remanded him in jail.
