NEW DELHI: Indian shooter Manu Bhaker secured the bronze medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol event at the Paris Olympics, marking a significant moment in her career and Indian sports history.
Bhaker’s journey to the podium was paved with both challenges and triumphs. Her performance at the Tokyo Olympics was marred by a pistol malfunction, a setback that could have easily derailed her aspirations.

Bhaker’s score of 221.7 secured her the third position on the podium, finishing behind South Korea’s Ye Jin, who clinched gold with an Olympic record of 243.2 points, and Kim Yeji, who secured silver with 241.3 points.
