For those not in the know, a woman died in a stampede which occurred during the premiere show of the film at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. The victim’s husband filed an FIR against the actor who was detained by the police on Friday from his house, while he was having his breakfast and coffee.
The actor spent a night in Jail as the bail procedure took time. And now according to his lawyer, he will be released by 8am today. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, informed reporters on Friday night that Allu Arjun’s release would take place “tomorrow morning,” following the court’s decision to grant him interim bail.
Meanwhile, the actor’s lawyer Ashok Reddy was irritated as he criticised the jail authorities for not complying with the bail order. “Order copy of the high court clearly directing the Superintendent of jail to release Allu Arjun forthwith and Superintendent has directed to ensure to release but despite the order. They are not releasing him. Order copy has been furnished to them and they are bound to comply but they aren’t. The release time is between 7-8 am tomorrow.”
His lawyer further spoke to the media and added, “They received an order copy from High Court but despite that, they didn’t release the accused (Allu Arjun)…they will have to answer…this is illegal detention, we will take legal action…as of now he has been released…”
Many celebs have come out in support of Allu Arjun – his co-star Rashmika Mandanna, Varun Dhawan, Vivek Oberoi among others defended the actor and said that he’s not the only one who should be blamed for this unfortunate incident.
