NEW DELHI: Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj etched his name in Ranji Trophy history on Friday by becoming the first bowler in 39 years to claim all 10 wickets in an innings. The remarkable feat was achieved in the match between Haryana and Kerala at the Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli on Friday.
Kamboj is only the third bowler in the tournament’s storied history to accomplish this rare milestone. The 23-year-old tore through Kerala’s batting line-up, delivering a sensational spell of 10/49, which restricted Kerala to 291 runs in their first innings.

Kamboj, who had taken four wickets in three matches during the recently concluded season, showcased his potential with this extraordinary performance, as his figures now rank among the finest in Indian domestic cricket history.

Before Kamboj, Bengal’s Premangsu Chatterjee (10/20) against Assam in 1956-57 and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sunderam (10/78) against Vidarbha in 1985-86 were the only other bowlers to achieve this incredible milestone in Ranji Trophy.
