Virat Kohli celebrated his 36th birthday on Tuesday with a simple celebration at home with his family, he revealed in a conversation with host Gaurav Kapoor during a promotional event in Mumbai on Thursday.
When asked about his birthday celebrations at an event in Mumbai, Kohli told host Kapoor: “This was probably the most chilled-out birthday I’ve had through all these years. It was just Anushka (Sharma) and our two kids at home. It was very relaxed.”

“I don’t know about being wiser, but I’m older for sure,” the batter said jokingly.
He added: “The birthday was basically for my daughter. Happens so when you have kids.”
Kohli is set to join the Indian cricket team for their upcoming five-match Test series against Australia. The series begins on November 22nd in Perth.

Kohli averages a stellar 54.08 having scored 1352 runs from 13 matches including six centuries and four half-centuries when playing in Australia.
Unfortunately, form is not on his side at the moment. He has come under fire following an abysmal series against New Zealand, where he posted just 93 runs.

Therefore with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the horizon, the seemingly calm and zen Kohli will be expected to tap into his fiery aggressive side to take on the Aussies in their home turf and inspire India to bounce back from their whitewash against New Zealand.
