LUCKNOW: The coveted invitation docket for the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22 describes the event as “grand, and a rare one, coming after 495 years” and the invitation as “once in a lifetime opportunity, “.
To be handed over to the select VVIPs, the docket has a set of exquisitely decorated paper sheets, booklets, and an image of Lord Ram.
According to the invite, 5 people – PM Modi, Mohan Bhagwat (RSS chief), Anandi Ben Patel (governor of UP), Yogi Adityanath (CM of UP), and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das – will be present in the “garbh grih” (sanctum sanctorum) when the sacred ceremony will be performed.
The role played by VHP also finds mention in the docket, which asks the guests to occupy their seats by 11 am for the consecration scheduled at 12.20 pm. The auspicious ceremony has been termed as “Ram Lalla’s return to the original seat within the new grand temple home”.
