BENGALURU: The GT World Mall in Bengaluru will remain shut for seven days, Karnataka minister B Suresh said on Thursday following a massive uproar after a man was denied entry into the premises as he was wearing a traditional dhoti.
The incident was reported on Wednesday after which several people had gathered in front of the mall to express their disapproval of the actions taken by the security guards.
The man was reportedly told to wear trousers by the security personnel present at the mall.
State labour minister Santosh Lad too had assured the protesters that appropriate action will be taken in connection with the incident.
