NEW DELHI: Senior BJP veteran and former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani, was discharged from AIIMS on Thursday after being admitted the previous night, as per the AIIMS hospital officials.
The 96-year-old underwent an evaluation by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, including specialists in urology and geriatric medicine. It is understood that he had a minor procedure during his stay.
“Advani was admitted for old age-related issues and has been discharged,” the AIIMS official said.
Advani was admitted to the old private ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at approximately 10.30 pm on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day a PTI source said, “L K Advani is stable. He is being evaluated by a team of doctors from different specialities including urology, cardiology and geriatric medicine.”
