HYDERABAD: In a significant development, Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy and Khairatabad MLA D Nagender have resigned from the BRS party led by former Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.
They have officially joined the Congress party in the presence of Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy.
Ranjith Reddy expressed gratitude to BRS for the opportunity and cooperation but cited evolving political circumstances for the decision.
“I’m writing to inform all my supporters and people that I have submitted the formal letter of resignation to @BRSparty…I would like to convey my gratitude to the BRS party for the meaningful opportunity provided & the cooperation extended in my service to the people of Chevella constituency. Due to evolving political circumstances, I have made this difficult decision to submit my resignation,” Ranjith Reddy said in a post.
In response, Revanth Reddy stated that their entry marks the opening of gates for other party leaders. Additionally, Warangal MP Pasunoori Dayakar recently joined the ruling Congress.
This move comes after BRS MPs BB Patil and P Ramulu from Zahaeerabad and Nagarkurnool respectively switched allegiance to the BJP. The political landscape in Telangana is witnessing key shifts as leaders make strategic moves ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
