Two men have been charged with murder, after a 25-year-old man was found dead in an abandoned quarry in Mt Ngungun, about 72km north of Brisbane.

Queensland Police will allege a 19-year-old man and 22-year-old man, both from Caboolture, lured the 25-year-old to a Glass House Mountains property where they allegedly stabbed him to death.

Police believe the three men were all known to each other.

The 25-year-old man from Morayfield was reported missing on June 4 and believed to have last been seen alive on May 28.

His remains were found at an abandoned quarry near Mt Ngungun on Monday, the day his alleged murderers were arrested.

Both have been charged with one count of murder, and misconduct with corpse by interfering, and they will appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Police say a third man was also taken into custody, however he was released without charge.

Police are continuing investigations, and anyone with information is urged to contact Policelink.
