NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Common University Entrance Test (PG) – 2024 on request received from candidates and other stakeholders. Jan 31, 2024 till 11:50 PM is the revised date for online submission of application. Till Wednesday a total 3.71 lakhs candidates have registered for the exam.In 2023 there were 197 universities which accepted CUET-PG scores for admission to their postgraduate programmes, which has increased to 250 this year.
“Following requests from aspirants as well as some universities, the deadline has been extended till the end of this month,” said Subodh Kumar Singh, director general, NTA.
NTA on Sept 19, 2023 announced the dates for the competitive exams it is scheduled to conduct in 2024. The CUET-PG is scheduled to take place from March 11 to March 28, 2024 and the results are to be disclosed within three weeks of the conclusion of the last test.
As per the revised schedule, the online registration for the computer multi-session based test based on which post graduate admissions are to take place which ended on January 24 has been extended to Jan 31, 2024. Revised deadline for final transaction of fee is Feb 1, 2025 and correction window will open on Feb 2 and ends on Feb 4, 2024 at 11:50 pm.
A total of 4.58 lakh candidates registered last year of which 2.097 lakh were male and 2.4 female aspirants.
