NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a mega e-auction of 453 properties, including institutional, industrial and residential plots.
Officials said that the sites are being offered in 12 categories and included reclaimed or newly identified sites with no legal issues.

“Till last year we were carrying out the exercise after three months and data of the land provided by various departments were offered in the e-auction.

But this time we are carrying the e-auction after a period of one year. We have already commenced the registration and it will continue till November 6. People can apply and submit earnest money deposits (EMD) till this time period. For the convenience of applicants and resolving their queries, we have established a help desk at Nagrik Suvidha Kendra in D Block Vikas Sadan,” said the official.
EMD is the amount to be deposited by all the contractors when they submit their tender.
Plots offered included 16 mobile tower sites, 50 institutional plots (including 20 religious plots), 2 CNG or Green Fuel sites (annual license fee basis), 145 built up shops (freehold), 13 Janak Place Shops (freehold), 12 Industrial Plots (free hold), 46 residential plots (freehold) and 15 kiosks (monthly license fee basis).
“The final e-auction for 453 properties will be held on November 7, 8 and 9. To begin with, on November 7, bidding for function sites, kiosks mobile tower sites, CNG fuel sites and institutional plots will take place; November 8 will see bidding for industrial, residential and small size residential plots and November 9 will see bidding for commercial and group housing plots, Janak Place shops and built up shops,” stated the authority.
For participating in the e-auction of built-up units, shops, offices, platforms etc. of commercial estate, bidders have to get themselves registered after making online payment for Rs 2000 + GST (18%).
“Bidders are required to quote for the rate with reference to the property on e-auction, over and above the reserve price mentioned in the property list,” stated the tender document.
Likewise, for built up shop units and plots, the bidder shall be required to submit 25% of reserve price as earnest money per unit in the form of online payment on the e-auctioning portal at the time of request.
Separate bids have to be quoted for each site and separate earnest money has to be submitted for each site, stated authority.
“In next seven days of issuing a letter of intent, the person will need to pay 25% of quoted price (after deducting the amount paid in phase I as earnest money).
The purchaser will need to take over the property within 30 days of issuance of a letter for handing over the physical possession.
“However, in any category, the officer conducting the e-auction by at time withdraws all or any of the shops, thadas, units without giving any reason at any stage before handling the possession of the property to the bidder,” the authority said.

Important dates

  • October 9: Opening of helpdesk at Vikas Sadan, commencement of registration and Earnest Money Depot (EMC) submission
