NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wrote a letter to Ujjwala scheme beneficiary Meera Manjhi, days after stopping over at her house for tea during his visit to Ayodhya on December 30.
In his letter, PM Modi extended New Year wishes to Manjhi and said that he was delighted to meet and interact with her family members in Ayodhya and drink tea with them at her house.

The Prime Minister also sent gifts to Manjhi, who is the 10th crore Ujjwala Yojana, a scheme that launched to provide free LPG connections to women from below-poverty-line households.
The gifts included a tea-set and a drawing book with colours among other things.
The Prime Minister said that he was also delighted to see Manjhi’s interview on TV channels and the ease and confidence with which the family shared their experience.
The PM wrote that Manjhi being the 10 croreth Ujjwala beneficiary is not just a milestone but proof that the dreams of Indians are being fulfilled.
PM Modi had stopped over at Manjhi’s house for a cup of tea during his Ayodhya visit on December 30.

“I was overjoyed, never did I imagine that ‘God’ would visit my home like this. My happiness was beyond control,” the beneficiary had said after hosting PM Modi for tea.
The Prime Minister wished the family a bright future ahead.
