Talking about the 3 years with Anupamaa, Muskan shared, “It has been a long journey, I started with Pakhi as a school-going kid and in these three years, her life has been a roller coaster ride.The journey for me has been incredible and I can’t thank Rajan Sir enough for giving me such an amazing character. I became a household name with it; it is great to be known as Pakhi.”
Muskan further shared the reason why she quit the show, “As everyone knows, I quit the show because I didn’t want to play a mother post the leap. There was a track where Pakhi would embrace motherhood through IVF, but I was not comfortable with that.”
When asked about opportunities after playing a mother onscreen, Muskan shared, “It isn’t compulsory that I would get the same offers, but there are chances of getting more offers of playing a mother in the show. I didn’t want that probability to grow as of now. Once you play a mother on screen, there are chances that I would get similar offers for the shows.”
Muskan revealed what she plans to do after Anupamaa, “Whatever that boosts my career. After Anupamaa, I achieved a good name and recognition for myself so I don’t want to let go of it. I would love to find lead characters further in TV. I have learnt a lot in these 3 years with Anupamaa, be it lead or good web series or films that boost my career ahead. So for now my focus is on getting prominent characters.”
Muskan shared that she isn’t taking a break, she has been working on looking out for projects, “I wouldn’t say I am on to something already but yes, I am in talks, though nothing is confirmed yet but you all shall soon see me back.”
Being a part of Anupamaa, Muskan made a strong bond with the cast members, “I will miss everyone, and shooting with them. They had become a family in three years. We have had amazing memories together, spending time in my vanity, playing games and more. So yes, surely going to miss the show and my co-stars.”

Muskan and Ashish aka Pakhi and her Toshu bhai were two pods in a pea offscreen as well, she shared that she would miss working with him, “When I mentioned yesterday, that I am not a part of Anupamaa anymore. All my co-stars called and texted me about how much they will miss me. With Toshu bhai, I share a strong bond and I will miss him the most. We will keep meeting after the show as well, but I will miss working with him for sure.”
