NEW DELHI: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Monday skipped ED’s sixth summons to appear for questioning in the excise policy case with his party calling the summonses “illegal”.
Kejriwal said the legality of the summons is now in the court and the federal agency should wait for the directions of the court instead of sending the summons again and again.
“ED itself has gone to court. Instead of sending summons again and again, ED should wait for the court’s decision,” an AAP source said while talking to news agency ANI.
Kejriwal, on February 2, failed to attend the ED’s summons for the fifth consecutive time regarding the money laundering investigation.
