BENGALURU: As temperatures soar above 40 degrees Celsius in Karnataka, Bengaluru, often referred to as India’s startup hub, faces some tough challenges. The city is dealing with extreme heat and a serious shortage of water. Recently, an individual decided to sought ‘refuge’ in an Oyo hotel to escape the scorching heat.
An user named Rishabh Srivastava made a witty comment on social media platform X.He remarked on the change in Bengaluru’s weather from “chill” to “grill”. He joked about not being able to survive without an air conditioner anymore. To deal with the intense heat, he playfully mentioned that he checked into an Oyo hotel as a “refugee”.
“Looks like Bengaluru weather decided to level up from chill to grill. Can’t survive without AC anymore. Checked into oyo rooms as a refugee,” Rishabh wrote on X.
As soon as Rishabh shared his witty remark about the city’s weather, Oyo Rooms promptly joined in the conversation. Reposting Rishabh’s tweet, Oyo added its own humorous twist, and added their own joke, saying, “Bengaluru, you had one job. But now, we’re taking over.”
The fun exchange between the two was also shared by Ritesh Agarwal, the Founder of Oyo Rooms.
Bengaluru is currently in the grip of an unprecedented heatwave, facing an intense heatwave with extremely high daytime temperatures leaving everyone hot and sweaty. To add to the misery, the city is experiencing some of its warmest nights on record, with minimum temperatures touching new highs over the past few days.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that high temperatures and heatwaves will continue in the southern state.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Monday and Tuesday marked the hottest nights in the city in the past 12 years, with temperatures reaching 24.5°C and 24.3°C respectively.
