Nine people have been hospitalised after a horror crash between a bus and semi-trailer on a busy Queensland highway, with major delays now expected.
A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said the collision occurred on the M1 near Stapylton, just before the Jacobs Well Rd exit, about 9.40am on Wednesday.
Multiple crews are on the scene assessing patients.
The spokesman confirmed three people, including the truck driver, had been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Another six were transported to Logan Hospital, all in stable conditions.
Footage from Channel 9 has captured the extent of the horrific collision, with cars at a standstill in multiple lanes.
Lengthy traffic delays are expected while emergency services remain on the scene.
More to come.
