After plenty of back and forth, Nitesh Tiwari‘s Ramayana has finally gone on floors without Madhu Mantena. But has the producer lost the chance to make Ramayana? Certainly not.

ETimes has exclusively learnt that Madhu definitely has the right to make Ramayana after Nitesh Tiwari’s version is done. A source said, “Madhu has the rights to make Ramayana after the present Ramayana is completed.”
Madhu Mantena had earlier exited the present Ramayana, but has compensated with an amount of Rs 80 cr.

Earlier, Madhu Mantena and DNEG virtual production were making the present Ramayana, but the former exited after the cost of production didn’t seem feasible for him.

On the other hand, the production of the movie ‘Ramayana’ encountered delays last month due to costume adjustments. However, the team has now taken a significant step forward by conducting look tests with the new outfits at Film City. Additionally, auditions were held for body doubles for Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, who will be playing Lord Ram and Raavan, respectively. These meticulous preparations mark the beginning of the shoot, which recently commenced.

As filming begins, the team is gearing up for an intense and captivating schedule ahead. The project is planned as a trilogy, promising an epic cinematic experience for the audience, with the first installment scheduled to release in 2025.
According to a report by Mid-Day, after finalizing the body doubles, they will be called in throughout the week to film stunts against the green screen. Extras were also summoned earlier this week to prepare for crowd sequences. In the coming days, the team will shoot numerous elaborate scenes featuring a crowd, ensuring meticulous attention to detail for director Nitesh’s magnum opus.
