Apple CEO Tim Cook‘s annual compensation has been revealed in the company’s recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As CEO of one of the world’s most valuable and well-known companies, Cook’s pay package naturally sparks interest. As per a filing, Cook received a total compensation of $63.2 million in 2023.
The proxy statement filed by Apple suggests that this figure is significantly low when compared with the compensation he received in 2022, standing at a whopping $99.4 million.In 2021, Cook’s annual compensation was $98.7 million. Meanwhile, Cook’s base salary has been $3 million since 2016.

What does Cook’s compensation include

Cook’s 2023 compensation included $46.9 million in stock awards, $10.7 million in performance-based bonuses, and $2.5 million in other benefits like security and private jet travel. In 2023, Cook himself recommended a voluntary pay cut, dropping his compensation by 40%.
Cook’s annual compensation package helps solidify his position among the world’s elite, with a net worth estimated at $2.1 billion. He is not featured in Bloomberg Billionaires Index as that has a threshold of $6 billion.

Pichai may join Cook in billionaires list

Recently, a report said that Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai may soon achieve a “rare milestone for a non-founder tech executive: a 10-figure fortune.”
The company recently announced its results for the month of the quarter that ended on March 31, hitting a fresh record after beating expectations, boosted by AI-driven growth. That growth, alongside hefty stock awards, has boosted his fortune to nearly $1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
