Hero MotoCorp has debuted the Mavrick, marking its entry into the highly-competitive, mid-capacity segment in the Indian market. The Mavrick is Hero MotoCorp’s flagship motorcycle and is also the company’s most powerful two-wheeler in the Indian market. The roadster is based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, and also uses the same powertrain.
Powering the Hero Mavrick is a 440 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine putting out 27 hp of maximum power and 36 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The motorcycle makes use of 43mm telescopic forks at the front along with dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is taken care of by disc brakes on both ends.

On the feature front, the motorcycle gets all-LED lighting including a round headlamp with H-shaped DRL, a single-piece seat, an LCD digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity with call alerts, connected tech with e-sim, diamond-cut alloy wheels and so on. The colour options on offer with the Mavrick include White, Red, Blue, Black and Matte Black. It’s available in three variants – Base, Mid and Top.
The Hero Mavrick rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Triumph Speed 400, Honda H’ness CB350, Jawa 42, its cousin Harley-Davidson X440, among other similarly priced roadsters. Bookings will commence in February 2024, with deliveries set to start in April.
