NEW DELHI: Panic prevailed in Begumpet area in Hyderabad after Praja Bhavan, formerly known as Pragati Bhavan, received a bomb threat, news agency ANI quoted police as saying.
As per the media reports, an unidentified person called the police control room and told the cops that a bomb was placed inside the building.
A bomb disposal team was sent to the spot to conduct searches of the premises, said inspector Shobhan of Punjagutta police station.
The police are currently carrying out checks to verify the claim.
The entry into the building has been barred for general public as a precautionary measure, reports suggested.
