GUWAHATI: An IAF personnel and his son were swept away by the strong currents of Kameng river in Arunachal and have been missing since Thursday, said disaster management authority officials on Friday.
The family of sergeant Bappi Ghosh, stationed at the IAF base in Tezpur, had ventured to Bhalukpung. The son, Hritik Ghosh, went to play in the river but got swept away.His father jumped in to rescue him but got trapped. “Search operation continued on Friday,” said a district administration official.
