In a separate post, the union minister – who is BJP candidate from Thiruvananthapuram – said that the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme is now well in place and is helping tech giants like Apple to deepen their ecosystems by building a network of local vendors. He said this move will help the companies lower their dependence on China.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary PLI scheme is scaling new heights every day and 25% of all iPhones are to be made in India by 2028,” Chandrasekhar posted on X social media platform.
