NEW DELHI: Wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, who will lead Team India in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, is leaving no stone unturned to get back into the groove ahead of the tough Proteas tour.
Having donned the gloves in the ODI World Cup, Rahul is also expected to keep the wickets in the Test series as the national selection committee has not included Kona Bharat.
Rahul posted a video on his Instagram account, showcasing his training session in Mumbai where he dedicatedly put in the effort and worked hard.

He was also joined by pacer Jasprit Bumrah during the session and both the players underwent intense training. Rahul kept the atmosphere cheerful as he tickled his funny bone and predicted that Bumrah would say that the batter’s job is easier than the bowlers.
“Today I am starting with some running first, it’s a big session today as well, batting and running,” Rahul said in the video.
“I can guarantee you Bumrah is going to mention how hard a fast bowler’s life is,” Rahul went on to say in the video.
“Your job is easier to bat, hide behind a bat,” Bumrah was heard telling Rahul.
“What did I tell you? Did I not call it?” Rahul boasted after his prediction came true.
The ODI series will begin on December 17 in Johannesburg followed by the second and third ODIs Dec 19 and 21 in Gqeberha and Paarl respectively.
