A search is underway for one lucky Aussie who won $4 million in the Powerball but hasn’t come forward to collect the huge prize.
The unidentified division one winner bought their golden ticket from Lilydale Village Lotto & News in Lilydale, Victoria, The Lott said in a statement.
They held one of two division one winning entries that struck gold in the Powerball draw on Thursday night.
Spokesperson for The Lott Anna Hobdell said the provider has no way of contacting the winner and urged punters to check their tickets.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Powerball ticket at Lilydale Village Lotto & News to check their lottery tickets today,” she said.
“Imagine if the Powerball ticket that‘s sitting in your back pocket, tucked away in your purse or under a magnet on your fridge is worth $4 million.”
The winning numbers were 35, 15, 3, 23, 34, 29 and 30, while the Powerball number was 2.
Punters should visit The Lott’s website and enter their ticket number, scan their ticket on The Lott’s app or head to a The Lott in-person outlet to find out if they have won, Ms Hobdell said.
Lilydale Village Lotto & News Owner Rakesh Aggarwal said he hopes the mystery winner comes forward soon.
“There aren’t enough words for us to express the excitement we’re feeling after helping change someone’s life in last night’s $8 million Powerball draw,” he said.
“We’d like to send a hearty congratulations to the mystery winner and we hope they check their ticket as soon as possible.
“We hope this win helps them make their dreams a reality.”
The second division one winner was in WA.
