CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: A man was pushed out of a political rally in Maharashtra‘s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after he questioned the BJP MLA about his previous election promises.
The incident occurred on Friday night when BJP candidate Prashant Bamb, who is seeking re-election in the Gangapur assembly constituency, was addressing a rally in Gawli Shivra village.
A video circulating online shows the man questioning Bamb about his previous election promises.
The MLA then says to the man, “You will regret till your death…” before instructing supporters to remove the man, leading to a disturbance.
Bamb, speaking to reporters later, claimed the man was disrupting the event and preventing him from speaking. He alleged the man was a supporter of his opponent, NCP (SP) candidate Satish Chavan.
“The person had been speaking for 30 minutes. He was doing so to prevent me from not giving my speech,” Bamb stated.
He also claimed similar disruptions had happened at 28 prior events.
Maharashtra Legislative Council Opposition Leader, Ambadas Danve, criticized the incident on social media platform X, questioning the BJP MLA’s response to being questioned by a citizen.
