NEW DELHI: Star India shuttler Lakshya Sen pulled off a jaw-dropping no-look, behind-the-back shot during his men’s singles badminton competition at the ongoing Paris Olympics on Wednesday.
In his final group game against Indonesia’s world No.4 Jonatan Christie, Sen came up with the mind-boggling behind the back clutch shot.
The Sen magic shot came in the first game of the contest when a Jonatan smash close from the net went across Sen.
With almost no time to react to the quick, incoming shuttle, Sen, standing in the middle, swung his racquet behind his back and successfully managed to hit the shuttle back to the opponent’s side.

A couple of shots later Jonatan hit the shuttle wide as Sen earned a well-deserved point.
Sen downed the reigning All England and Asian champion Jonatan 21-18, 21-12 in what turned out to be a lop-sided contest.
With the win, the 22-year-old from Almora progressed to the pre-quarterfinals of the Olympics.
