Two people have died and two others have been left in serious conditions after a multi-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Milperra Road near Murray Jones Drive near Bankstown around 7.40pm on Sunday.
The mutli-vehicle crash involved a Toyota sedan and a Toyota utility, with the crash sending the sedan rolling and trapping the driver and passengers.
Two people died at the scene, a 41-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl who were both in the back seat of the sedan.
The other back seat passenger, a 10-year-old boy, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transporting to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and is in a stable condition.
The 52-year-old male driver of the sedan was also treated at the scene before being transported to Westmead hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
The 19-year-old driver of the utility was treated for minor injuries at the scene and was later taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established as officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit have begun looking into the incident.
Milperra Road at the intersection at Murray Jones Drive was closed for several hours but has now been reopened early Monday morning.
