Cases have been filed against both groups.
Reports suggest that the altercation unfolded as members of Munna Bhadauria’s family were traveling in a jeep, only to be ambushed by individuals from the Kushwaha group as they were passing from near the latter’s house. The assailants purportedly hurled stones at the vehicle, forcing it to stop and ultimately surrounded it and set it on fire.
The attack, allegedly carried out by the Kushwaha group, claimed the lives of Ashadevi (42), her nephew Amar Singh alias Himanshu (20), and brother-in-law Laxman (45) all residents of Chhatarpur.

Heavy police deployment has been made in the area to prevent further escalation of hostilities between the two groups.
The injured were initially admitted to Narwar Health Centre and later referred to Gwalior.
