NEW DELHI: Pradeep Liladhar Nakhva, the husband of 45-year-old Kaveri Nakhva, who died in the Mumbai BMW hit-and-run, on Tuesday held the administration responsible for the incident.
While speaking to news agency PTI, Pradeep claimed that even after being hit by the BMW, he asked the driver to stop so that he could save his wife who was still stuck under the vehicle.
“I slammed my hands on the bonnet of the car asking him to stop but he didn’t stop,” said a visibly distraught Pradeep. He said that administration is responsible for the incident.
“I asked him to stop, yet he didn’t stop. He ran away. She was dragged by the car. She must have been in so much pain. Everyone knows this but no one is doing anything. There is no one for the poor,” he said.
The BMW car which fatally knocked down Kaveri Nakhwa (45) and injured her husband Pradeep while the couple was on their two-wheeler in Mumbai’s Worli area Sunday morning, was being driven by one Mihir Shah, the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah at the time of accident.
