NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) was on Saturday granted 10-day custody of Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha in the Bengaluru cafe blast case.
The accused were produced before an NIA special court judge in Bengaluru.
They were brought to Bengaluru by the NIA from Kolkata on transit remand. A court in Kolkata had granted a 3-day transit remand to the two accused in the blast case on Friday.
The NIA took Shazib and Taha into custody in Kolkata for their alleged involvement in the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe on March 1.At least 10 people were injured in the blast.
Based on the NIA’s findings, Shazib was responsible for placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe, while Taha was identified as the mastermind behind the attack.
