NEW DELHI: In the history of political scams, fodder has found its competitor with the recent allegations of “egg puff scandal” by the Telugu Desam Party on the former Andhra chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
This came after there were reports of Rs 3.6 crore being allegedly spent on egg puffs by the YSRCP leader during his tenure as the CM of Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP, however, has termed it “malicious” and a “baseless propaganda”.
Calling it just the beginning of exploration into Reddy’s “misdeeds”, TDP said, “Nobody is eggs-aggerating. That’s your area of eggs-pertise. Everyone’s just eggs-pressing facts that are beginning to hatch out of shells now.”
“This is just the beginning of an eggs-ploration into your misdeeds. Don’t be terri-fried so early, YSRCP. (BTW, can that Y stand for yolk now?),” it added.

The YSRCP said that there were no proof or facts which could justify these allegations. “Looks like the only thing TDP can crack are some egg puns! No facts, no proof, just desperate, baseless propaganda to distract people from the Super Six promises you should be delivering. Seems you’re busy cooking up lies instead,” it said.
“Rather than wasting time on these yolk-filled distractions, try focusing on doing something you promised to come into power. Malicious rumors won’t fix anything, but real action will – and that’s what we’re all about. And you never will be,” it added.
