NEW DELHI: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday announced the appointments of BJP Telangana secretary Indra Sena Reddy Nallu as governor of Tripura and former Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das as Odisha governor.
A press communique from the Rashtrapati Bhavan said the appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge.
The appointment of Das (68), currently a national vice president of BJP and who was CM of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019, comes a few days after Babulal Marandi took over as Jharkhand state president of BJP.
Indra Sen Reddy is a senior BJP leader from poll-bound Telangana. He was one of a few leaders who had expressed unhappiness to the party leadership about the kind of importance given to new inductees than old-timers. TNN
