NEW DELHI: A video showing an intense fight between a cobra and mongooses has gone viral on social media. The incident is reported to be from Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, Bihar.
The footage, recorded from the aircraft’s window, shows the intense battle taking place on the runway as the aircraft was halted at the hold-short position.
Initially, the video features a one-on-one struggle between the cobra and a mongoose. However, the situation intensifies when two additional mongooses join the fight, turning it into a three-on-one confrontation. The cobra, attempting to defend itself, raises its head and strikes, but the mongooses relentlessly continue their assault.
This fight between the snake and mongoose shows their age-old rivalry, driven by their predator-prey relationship. Mongooses, known for their ability to hunt snakes, and snakes, which prey on mongooses, have long been natural enemies.
