Perth radio and social media star Katie Lamb is engaged to West Coast Eagles backline coach Martene Pearman, with the two lovebirds releasing a sweet video to celebrate the special moment.
At a beach in Eagle Bay in Western Australia’s southwest, Triple M host Lamb pulled off what she called “the biggest blind side of all time”, presenting a ring to Pearman, her partner of five years, even as their pet dog kicked up a sandy fuss.
“Our three-year-old cavoodle, Reggie, managed to steal the moment at one stage, frantically digging and flicking sand all over the ring but we wouldn’t have had it any other way,” Lamb said.
“We celebrated with a delicious lunch at Fishbone and then had a bunch of friends surprise us at Aravina Estate.
“We were overwhelmed with so much love and support from friends, family and Insta besties.
“Thank you so much to everyone who made us feel so special.
“Now, I need to sleep for a year. Wake me up when it’s our wedding.”
The couple’s special moment took place on Easter Saturday.
Lamb, a radio host and TikTokker with nearly 35,000 followers, is an avid Matildas fan.
In 2023, she vowed to legally change her name to Matilda if the soccer legends won the Women’s World Cup.
She hosts Triple M’s Rush Hour with Embers and Katie show, which is owned by ASX-listed radio giant Southern Cross Austereo.
The show is also on the LiSTNR app, which houses SCA’s radio, podcasts, music and news.
