A woman has suffered “significant” facial injuries after being bitten by a shark at an Adelaide beach.
Paramedics were called to a jetty at The Esplanade, Port Noarlunga, on Friday afternoon after reports a person had been attacked by a shark.
The woman was found conscious but with severe facial injuries and has been rushed to hospital for treatment.
It comes just over a week since the death of 55-year-old South Australian surfer Tod Gendle at a beach near Streaky Bay.
Port Noarlunga is about 30km south of the Adelaide CBD.
More to come.
