An octogenarian has been rushed into surgery after he was allegedly savagely attacked inside an inner-city unit in Brisbane’s south.
Emergency services were called to the unit on Wahcumba St in Dutton Park shortly after 5pm on Thursday after reports of a disturbance.
Queensland police believe two men known to each other were involved in the incident, with officers finding an elderly man at the scene.
The 80-year-old was treated at the unit for multiple serious injuries to his jaw, head, and back before being rushed to hospital for surgery.
Police are now calling on the public to assist in their search for a 53-year-old man who officers believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
