Actor Rajnikanth was discharged from the hospital last night after undergoing elective surgery. The actor was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on September 30 after he complained of discomfort and stomach pain. The hospital press statement mentioned that the actor had a swelling in his aorta in heart which was treated using a non-invasive method and under the supervision of cardiologist Dr Satish Sai a stent was placed in lower abdomen.According to the latest updates, the ‘Vettaiyan’ actor has been discharged from the hospital.
“He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (aorta), which was treated by a non surgical, transcatheter method. Senior interventional Cardiologist, Dr Sai Satish placed a stent in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling. We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Mr Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days,” the statement read.
Rajinikanth is expected to start his work after a few weeks of rest for his film ‘Coolie‘ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie stars Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao, Shoubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan in lead roles with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
On the work front, Rajinikanth is awaiting the release of his film ‘Vettaiyan’. Directed by TJ Gnanavel the movie is set for its release on October 10 and the entertainer action stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Abhirami, Rakshan. The music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and following the prevue event last month, the trailer was launched two days back.
