Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday appealed to the people to give maximum number of MP seats from Telangana to keep the ‘corrupt’ Congress govt in the state under check.

Making a reference to Rajamouli-directed ‘RRR’ film, Modi said at a public meeting in Andole that ‘RR (indicating Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy) tax’ is being collected in the state.Without naming Rahul and CM Revanth as ‘RR’, the PM said: “If Telugu film RRR made India proud with its global success, RR tax has shamed India.”
He alleged that RR tax is being collected from businessmen and contractors in the state and sent to Delhi as black money. “People of the state are already vexed with this. I don’t have to tell in detail as to what is happening here. Telangana people are already feeling the pinch of the corrupt Congress govt. The previous BRS govt indulged in corruption and looted Telangana. The present Congress govt is doing exactly the same. If it continues like this, Telangana will suffer the most. To put an end to this, you (people) must elect more BJP MPs in this election,” the PM said.
He alleged that both Congress and BRS came together when the investigation into the Delhi liquor scam case was fast-tracked. “They both indulge in corruption. BRS corruption tentacles have spread to Delhi now and BRS has joined hands with ‘Delhi party’ (AAP) and that Delhi party is an alliance with the Congress. All of them are on the same page,” he charged.
He said his top priority has always been farmers’ welfare. “The Congress govt in the state did not implement the promise of the loan waiver scheme for farmers. It has also not paid Rs 500 as bonus for paddy. The govt is on a mute mode when it comes to paddy procurement,” he said.
Modi claimed that the Congress has always wanted the poor to remain poor. “They are making fake videos, but we are committed to categorisation among Dalits. All that the Congress cares about is the vote-bank and not to make its vote-bank angry. So much so, it is even stopping the Hindus from celebrating festivals like Sri Ram Navami and Shobha Yatras,” he alleged.
Lambasting the Congress on Muslim reservation issue, the PM said: “In united Andhra Pradesh, people gave maximum number of seats for the Congress in 2004 but they introduced Mulsim reservations and were not bothered about 26 OBC communities to be included in the list of OBCs.” He further said the Congress should not be given votes as it is stalling the development of Telangana. “We have announced a new Sammakka-Sarakka university for tribals, but land is not being allotted. Land is also not being allotted for some of the railway projects in the state,” he said.
