Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’ released on December 22 and has made the most of the Christmas, New Year’s holiday period. Despite the clash with Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki‘, this Prashanth Neel directorial has managed to have a good hold at the box office. Within its first 6 days at the box office, ‘Salaar’ managed to earn Rs 294 crore nett in Hindi and all the other languages in India.
On its Day 7, which was Thursday, the film continued to remain steady and did better than ‘Dunki’. As per Sacnilk, ‘Salaar’ made Rs 13.50 crore in India on Thursday. Hence, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 308.90 crore The film enjoyed an occupancy of 24.50 percent in Hindi which is considered good for a week day. Now the numbers of ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ both are expected to go up towards Friday evening and Saturday, Sunday. And this second weekend will decide the fate of these movies. While this 300-crore mark is the collection of all languages, the only Hindi collection is inching towards Rs 100 crore.
The trade has predicted that the Hindi collection of Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ was somewhere close to Rs 120 crore and ‘Salaar’ will surely be able to cross that. However, post New Year, from January 1 onwards, the film should see a downfall. So, it has this upcoming weekend to make the most of it.
‘Salaar’ also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran alongside Prabhas.
