Sawan holds a great religious and spiritual significance and Sawan will start from July 22 and it will end on August 19, 2024. This whole one month of period holds a great importance for the Lord Shiva devotees. During this period devotees perform various puja rituals dedicated to Mahadeva. This is a great chance for the people, who want to seek blessings of the Supreme Lord.
People are required to make so many changes in their living style and also in their home, so that they can get keep the aura positive during this month and feel like the presence of Bholenath. According to Vedic Astrology, Sawan period is also considered the most sacred month in the year and Lord Shiva devotees specially need to make some important changes to avoid problems. 1. Keep your place tidy and clutter-free. Clutter can disrupt the flow of positive energy, so keep your home clean and clutter-free. This will bring happiness to your family and also help to create a spiritual environment.
2. Remove Onions and Garlic from your kitchen as these items comes under the tamasik category so before starting Shravana month, one must take care of this thing. This will help to create a suitable environment.
3. If you are non vegetarian then you just need to stay away from non vegetarian from and remove it from your fridge and kitchen as well. As it can ruin the feel devotion and destroy the sacred environment which is your home.
4. Place few auspicious plants such as Bel Patra and Mogra flower as these are considered most auspicious and can be used during this month, when you worship Shiv Ji. You don’t have to go out and search for these things. After taking bath, you can immediately offer it to the Lord.
5. Keep the kitchen clean and orderly. The kitchen is the heart of the home, thus it should be kept clean and orderly. Kitchen is the place where you should maintain a hygiene and it should be clean when you prepare bhog prasad for the Lord.
6. Make sure your home is well-lit. Dark and dimly lit environments can hold bad energy which is not good during this month. Devotees are advised to use diyas in the morning and evening, especially in the pooja room and main entrance. This will bring good positive energy and cleanse the aura.
7. Remove the things, which you have not used for years such as watches, unused electronic items as this can create obstacles in life and this Sawan you will get this opportunity when you can remove all these items from home and avoid problems.
