NEW DELHI: In a bizarre and first-of-its-kind incident, the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants halted for a brief period, which lasted seven minutes, due to the wire of the spidercam snapping and falling onto the outfield.
The incident happened in the very first over of the Rajasthan innings, after skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday.

It was a spidercam error, as the cable wire fell on the outfield soon after the two balls were bowled into the match. The engineers swiftly responded to the situation, rushing onto the ground to retrieve the fallen wire of the spidercam and remove it from the field of play.
