RAIPUR: The new chief minister of Chhattisgarh and his cabinet ministers will take oath on December 13 in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Science College ground in Raipur. The event scheduled to be held at 2 PM will be attended by Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and other senior leaders including Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Chhattisgarh state in-charge Om Mathur and co-in-charge Nitin Nabin.
Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister are in full swing. Senior officials went to the venue and took stock of the preparations giving necessary directions for a smooth event.
Former minister and newly elected MLA from Narayanpur Kedar Kashyap, BJP MLA from Raigarh, Omprakash Chaudhary and legislator from Balodabazar Tankram Verma also inspected the venue.
Three huge stages are being made for the oath taking ceremony, in which, the oath taking ceremony will take place at the centre stage and the other VIPs and newly elected MLAs would be covering the other two stages.
There will be separate sectors created for seating of special guests, media representatives and general public.
Instructions have been given to the concerned departmental officers for stage construction, meeting arrangements, security arrangements, parking, electricity arrangements, fire brigade, medical, drinking water, toilet, etc at the venue.
Preparations are underway to arrange a gathering for more than 50,000 people at the ground which would be guarded by 1000 police personnel under massive security umbrella.
