A passenger died of a heart attack after an autorickshaw driver beat him up after a dispute over a torn Rs 50 note in Maharashtra’s Thane. Cops arrested driver Raja Bhoir and filed a case of negligence causing death.
The deceased, Anshuman Shahi, worked in Mumbai. On Thursday night, Shahi took a rickshaw to go home.
He gave a Rs 50 note to Bhoir, but since the note was torn, Bhoir refused to accept it, which led to a scuffle.Bhoir beat up Shahi, after which he suffered a heart attack and collapsed on the road, cops said.
