The Rock shared a brutal message for Cody Rhodes
The Rock did not utter a single word during his entrance in WWE’s latest Premium Live Event, Bad Blood 2024. He simply raised his eyebrows and three fingers potentially indicating his three-count pin on Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. When The Rock entered, Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Jimmy Uso were in the ring.
Backstage, however, The Final Boss was quite clear about his feud with Cody Rhodes. In a footage that was shot backstage, The People’s Champion hailed Dusty Rhodes, father of The Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes as he saw the legend’s huge banner. “You are The Rock’s hero, one of The Rock’s heroes right there, hard time. I love you,” The Final Boss said. But then he quickly got back to his feud with The American Nightmare, saying, “I hate your son.”
It is now crystal clear that The Rock has not moved on from the feud with Rhodes. Although his future plans in WWE are unclear, it is fair to assume that he will go head-to-head with Rhodes again in the near future.
Still, The Rock acknowledged Rhodes’ match at Bad Blood as he teamed up with Roman Reigns to take down Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. “You had Jimmy, you had Roman, and you had Cody. The Rock doesn’t have to say a thing,” he said in the backstage promo, adding with a throat slash, “Tonight, we’re going to have a good time.”
Chief Content Officer at WWE, Triple H later addressed The Rock’s plans in WWE stating, “Where does he go from here? It could go anywhere. That’s the beauty of it. When we get down tonight, you tell all the epic stories that lead you in one place. Then you go, ‘But now what?’ I don’t know where it goes. That’s where we want everyone to be.”
As of now, it is unclear if The Rock will appear in the WWE’s flagship shows but his latest appearance and the message for Rhodes have definitely sparked excitement among fans.
