NEW DELHI: In a tragic incident in Gujarat’s Anand district, an under-construction bridge which was part of the ambitious bullet train project, collapsed on Tuesday.
The collapse has left many feared trapped under the debris, prompting an urgent response from local authorities.

Anand police and fire brigade officials rushed to the scene as soon as the collapse was reported. Rescue operations are in full swing, with teams working tirelessly to locate and save those trapped beneath the rubble. So far, two workers have been successfully rescued, but two others remain trapped under the debris.
The collapse occurred when girders used at the construction site near Vasad gave way, causing a significant portion of the bridge to come crashing down.
